The thinking behind everything we make.
Not with a product. Not with a finished idea. Just a desire to work with something real.
Our research led us to a remarkably simple construction — one continuous piece of leather, shaped from the hide and finished with a buckle. No unnecessary layers. No need to disguise the material. Just leather, given room to speak for itself.
The leather had its own character. We didn't want the details to speak over it. So we kept refining — the hardware, the proportions, the finish — until everything felt as though it belonged there from the beginning.
We don't set out to reinvent the familiar. We look for the detail that changes how it is seen. A quieter line. An unexpected balance. A considered use of colour. Small decisions can give a familiar form a character of its own.
TORO7 is growing beyond its beginnings, with wallets, bags and new leather goods still to come. With every new design, we give the leather its own identity — creating pieces that become part of yours. Something you feel confident to carry, wear and be noticed for.
Common questions about our materials, full-grain buffalo leather, single-piece strap construction, and 5-year breakage warranty.
Unlike genuine or bonded leather made from compressed scraps and synthetic coatings, TORO7 uses only uncorrected full-grain buffalo leather cut from the strongest outer grain layer. Buffalo leather features dense grain fibers, natural pebble texturing, and unmatched tensile strength that develops a distinctive patina over decades.
Most mass-market belts glue two thin leather veneers over a cardboard, plastic, or foam core. Within months, the glue delaminates, edges split, and the belt cracks. A single piece of 3.8mm–4.2mm full-grain leather contains zero filler layers, will never peel or delaminate, and holds its structural integrity under daily strain.
Our 5-Year Breakage Warranty covers structural breakage under normal everyday use. If your single-piece leather strap ever snaps, tears, or separates at the buckle fold, or if the hardware fails, we will repair or replace your belt free of charge.
Our buffalo hides are ethically sourced and tanned in premier heritage tanneries using traditional vegetable and semi-vegetable tanning extracts. Buckles are cast from solid brass and heavy-duty steel alloys, hand-finished and secured with solid rivets or machine-threaded Chicago screws.
Your ideal belt size is typically 2 inches larger than your relaxed pant waist size (e.g., if you wear size 34 pants, select a size 36 belt). This places the buckle prong in the middle hole (3rd of 5 holes), leaving ample room for tighter or looser adjustments.
